I've been gung-ho about the book industry since I was about 7, from every angle (that's about the age I started trying to write). In the mid 2000s, I intended to be an editor, took an assistant job at a small nonfiction house in the midwest, and wound up being the numbers person instead of working with words. And I loved every minute of it.
Then I decided to go back to school, and so now I'm in D.C., being a grad student. I keep my fingers in the book industry pot by working as a bookseller and reading teacher.
Oh. And I write contemporary young adult novels, too.
I post on Tuesdays, and any other day the muse (or a blog hop) strikes.
